The Keep the Tennessee River Beautiful Fleet

OUR Work boats

Our two 26-foot work boats are modeled after the boats used by our partners at the national nonprofit, Living Lands & Waters. They were custom-built in Iowa by Ryan Lightfoot, who was kind enough to give us a nonprofit deal for each boat. We received funding support for the boats from the Tennessee Valley Authority and each of our $15,000 outboard motors were donated by Yamaha Rightwaters, our official ‘RIVER DRIVER’ Sponsor. We equipped and retrofitted benches and dry boxes for each boat thanks to in-kind donations from Home Depot of Schaad Road in Knoxville.

Our boats are currently stored at Louisville Landing Marina in Louisville, Tenn. Not only do they donate boat slips/dry dock storage for us, but they also donate their dumpster for us to use with any local cleanups, saving us thousands of dollars!

the tennessee

  • Maiden voyage:
    July 25, 2019

  • Weight:
    5,000 lbs. with trailer

  • Length: 25 feet

  • width: 8 feet

  • Capacity: 15 volunteers

  • Motor: yamaha VF90LA MAX SHO Series

Introduced in 2019, The Tennessee was our first boat and she has served us well! In July 2020, Yamaha Outboards and Anderson Marine Family Boating Center donated a Yamaha SHO 90 outboard motor for The Tennessee, and it has made our ride a completely different boat!

the holston

  • Maiden voyage:
    july 30, 2022

  • Weight:
    5,200 lbs. with trailer

  • Length: 26 feet

  • width: 8 feet

  • Capacity: 15 volunteers

  • Motor: yamaha VF90LA MAX SHO Series

Our fleet expanded in 2022 with the addition of The Holston. In addition to support from TVA for the boat, and Home Depot for customizations, and Yamaha Rightwaters for the motor, Premier Watersports donated the installation of The Holston’s motor. After three years of muddy cleanups with The Tennessee, this new boat looked so shiny to us before we got her in the water! We are so excited to be attacking river cleanups with two boats now! This also means our crew is expanding in 2023…

OUR trucks

georgia

In July 2020, we purchased Georgia, a 2016 Ford F-250 Supercrew XLT truck with an FX4 package thanks to supportive funds from TVA and primarily thanks to a $27,000 grant from The Conservation Fund. Two years of donations from Chemours Chemical Company allowed us to purchase the truck bed cap and new tires.

kentucky

In January 2024, we bought Kentucky, a 2019 Ford F-250 XLT that we were able to purchase with a grant from TVA. We’re working on getting Kentucky up to being able to best serve KTNRB work, but in the mean time, she’ll tow our boats nicely!
