Celebrate October as…

Each year since 2018, October has been celebrated as ‘Keep the Tennessee River Watershed Beautiful Month,’ and each year, the celebrations continue to grow!

The month consists of awareness and celebration efforts around the Tennessee River watershed with:

  • River cleanups hosted either with just the KTNRB boat or with the five 30-foot boats with our partners at Living Lands & Waters;

  • Proclamations by governors and mayors celebrating October as ‘Keep the Tennessee River Watershed Beautiful Month;’

  • Pledges made by Tennessee River watershed residents and visitors to eliminate single-use plastic or styrofoam items from their daily routine for one year.
