Celebrate October as…

Each year since 2018, October has been celebrated as ‘Keep the Tennessee River Watershed Beautiful Month®,’ and each year, the celebrations continue to grow!

The month consists of awareness and celebration efforts around the Tennessee River watershed with:

  • River cleanups hosted either with just the KTNRB boat or with the five 30-foot boats with our partners at Living Lands & Waters;

  • Proclamations by governors and mayors celebrating October as ‘Keep the Tennessee River Watershed Beautiful Month®;’

  • Pledges made by Tennessee River watershed residents and visitors to eliminate single-use plastic or styrofoam items from their daily routine for one year.
