what is this event?

This is the first major fundraising event for Keep the Tennessee River Beautiful, and it’s just as innovative as the work we get to do on our waterways! We’ve teamed up with Over the Edge, the world’s leading urban rappelling company who has hosted over 1,000 events to help nonprofits raise over $150 million to date. We’re so excited to partner with The Park Vista, a Doubletree by Hilton Hotel who has agreed to allow participants to descend down the side of their 200-foot building that resides 1,000 feet above Gatlinburg, Tenn. with up-close views of the Great Smoky Mountains.

What’s it for?

Keep the Tennessee River Beautiful is nearing the monumental milestone of 1 million lbs. of trash removed from the seven-state Tennessee River watershed since we put our first boat in the water in 2019. This fundraiser will help us to get ‘over the edge’ to reaching that milestone and we couldn’t ask for a more exciting fundraiser to help us get there!
