Elected Official Category

To make a difference throughout the community, the Tennessee River needs government leaders serving as its advocates. To protect and improve our waterways is to protect the health, environment, economy and culture of communities within the Tennessee River Valley. This Elected Official award category looks to recognize a river advocate leader among the leaders of our communities.

This Elected Official award category aims to recognize an elected official that has established a river-friendly program/initiative, called for plans/designs, or completed actual work on the Tennessee River or its tributaries in the last year (July 1, 2020 - June 30, 2021).
